IFCA runs, with partners, multiple programmes throughout South Africa, all with the common goal of working with the mining industry towards the common good.

We continuously seek new ways to walk the paths of faith with practical feet.

Courageous Conversations

Difficult dialogues among people of good will, hosted in a safe space, where we address the major issues facing the industry and the country.

We are working towards the development of a led social compact between miners and communities, seeking ways of being that inform everybody's actions on the basis of the common good.

This is being driven through an ongoing series of dialogues and engagements with senior leaders of mining, labour, and civil society, and further developed localised engagements of the same sort.

Mining and the Social Compact

Action driven leadership in creating the social compact we are missing

Local development and upliftment

Be a Part of Real Change

We have several localised projects running, with faith based communities leading engagements and projects between mining companies and communities, always looking to ensure that the voices of all are heard, are respected, and are uplifted.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
